Dental Care during the Coronavirus outbreak

There's a chance you scheduled your semi-annual dental checkup between March 15th and April 15th, 2020. With all the chaos going on related to coronavirus and social distancing, you may be wondering what to do about your dental appointments.

Try to Reschedule

If you have visits or elective procedures scheduled during this time, the American Dental Association (ADA) recommends rescheduling you visit until mid-April, allowing the country to flatten the curve and contain the global pandemic. This will also allow hospitals and medical workers to serve the sick, and slow the influx of new patients.

Moving Forward

Life as we know it has changed. The pandemic has forced many of us to see the world in a different way and focus on what's most important. As a healthcare company, we have always cared about our members and the service they receive from providers in our network.

We also would not be around if it weren't for these incredible providers. Providers in the EMI Health dental networks are top-quality and go through rigorous screening processes. They comply with our operating requirements and promise to provide the highest level of care to our members. We thank them for their efforts.

Members. Providers. Insurance carrier. We may be three separate entities, but we are all humans and we all care deeply about our families, friends, and loved ones. Continue to look after each other. Take the necessary precautions to keep yourself and those around you safe during the coronavirus pandemic. We recommend following the guidelines of state and federal governments as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as we all work to flatten the curve.
